You don’t need to search endlessly online or face this by yourself. Call us. In many cases, there are solutions. There are options. And there is hope.

My practice is small by design, but our experience is extensive. Over the years, we have helped thousands of individuals and families, and our community knows us for our integrity, compassion, and results.

My name is Andre Boghosian. I am an immigrant, and my journey is the reason I practice immigration law. More than forty years ago, I escaped my country under circumstances that only God could have made possible.

I first immigrated to France, where I completed my high school education while separated from my parents for five years. We were later reunited in Europe before finally immigrating together to the United States.

Since arriving in the U.S., I have worked full time while pursuing my education, graduating from California State University, Northridge, and later Southwestern School of Law in Los Angeles.

I am proud to be an immigrant and deeply grateful to be a U.S. citizen. I understand fear, uncertainty, and hope, not from books, but from experience. My goal is to help others find safety, security, and pride in their own journey.

People come first, always.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to Common Immigration Concerns

1If I am placed in removal (deportation) proceedings, does that mean I will definitely be deported?
No. Being placed in removal proceedings does not automatically mean you will be deported. Many people qualify for defenses or forms of relief such as asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, waivers, or even termination of proceedings. Each case depends on the facts, and experienced legal representation can make a critical difference.
2What are the most common reasons someone ends up in immigration court?
People may be placed in immigration court for many reasons, including entering the U.S. without inspection, overstaying a visa, committing certain criminal offenses, violating visa terms, having an immigration application denied, being stopped at the border, or being arrested by ICE. The process usually begins with a Notice to Appear (NTA).
3What are the main ways to defend against deportation?
Common defenses include asylum or withholding of removal, cancellation of removal for long-term residents, adjustment of status through family or employment, waivers of inadmissibility, prosecutorial discretion, administrative closure, and termination of proceedings if the government cannot prove its case or if the NTA is defective.
4What is the difference between Adjustment of Status and Consular Processing for a Green Card?
Adjustment of Status allows eligible individuals to apply for a green card from inside the U.S. through USCIS, while Consular Processing requires completing the process outside the U.S. at a U.S. consulate. Choosing the wrong path can cause serious delays or trigger immigration consequences, which is why legal guidance is essential.
5Can criminal or past immigration issues affect my case?
Yes. Even minor criminal issues, visa overstays, unauthorized employment, fraud, or prior removal orders can affect eligibility for relief, green cards, or citizenship. These issues must be carefully analyzed before filing anything with USCIS or the immigration court to avoid denials or removal proceedings.
6Does having a work permit mean I have legal immigration status?
No. A work permit (EAD) only authorizes you to work. It does not give immigration status, protect you from removal, allow travel, or guarantee a green card. Your lawful presence depends on your underlying status, such as asylum, TPS, DACA, or a pending adjustment application.
7Why is having an experienced immigration attorney so important?
Immigration law is complex and constantly changing. Small mistakes—missed deadlines, incorrect forms, or incomplete evidence—can result in denials, loss of appeal rights, or removal proceedings. An experienced attorney reviews risks, prepares strong evidence, represents you in court or before USCIS, and protects your rights at every stage.

I met Andre Boghosian when I already had my case before immigration court after unsuccessful represantion of my case by my previous lawye. First at interview, then at master hearing and finally failed immigration appeal. Their office were really friendly and supportive and did the best the could to stop my removal proceedings. I had a long and very unusual immigration journey and I'm still at the final step. Even though my case were deadly silent for a years . I always have a chance to seek a legal advice from Andre and Levon. Not like other lawyer around the town they don't charge tremendous amount of money for a simple consultation. I would highly recommend them to anyone and only regret that I didn't have a chance to start my immigration journey with Andre at the beginning.

I had hired Andre boghosian to be the lawyer for my brothers immigration case. He was so kind to help me over the phone in the beginning and then scheduled to meet with him in person. We discussed what was needed and he explained the situation and gave me a reasonable price. Whatever he promised me, he made sure to keep that promise and fulfilled them beyond what he said. He did more than I had expected him to do, Andre and Inessa were very kind to us with any matter that was being brought up in the case. They were always there to help me with any possible questions that I had. I couldn't ask for better lawyers, they truly know how to do their job correctly, and make their clients happy by winning their cases. This case was a very difficult one to process. Couple times I even had to call Andres personal cell phone with urgent issues and without a doubt he helped. There was never a moment that he let us down throughout this several month process. They never gave up and with ups and downs they helped us win our case and we are very grateful to have my brother win his case thanks to Andres and Inessa.

My family decided to enlist Mr. Boghosian's services after two prior failed attempts at naturalization. They say 'third time's a charm', but Mr. Boghosian was our lucky charm. I can't thank him enough for being a part of one of the happiest days of our lives. It helps that on top of being knowledgeable, he's charming and funny too.
